It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the chance.

Finally, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the young family member of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has witnessed all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her first appearance and seven global championships have followed from 10 tries across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India momentarily interrupted the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting championship match pressure. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and after that Healy was in motion.

"The possibility to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
